So I have been a little off grid recently as I have been preparing for my SATS. However, last year I did write to Surrey County Council asking them to plant some trees down my road instead of the grass verges for the pollinators. Last winter I chose 2 oriental cherry trees which were planted on the grass verges I had identified and I am now watering them weekly to ensure they thrive and develop quickly in time for the bees and butterflies.
